The care is identical in all three. What changes is how much of a day is built around it — and every price is in the open.
This page is about how a farewell is held. If you're still working out what shape the day should take — a funeral with them there, a memorial held later, or something quieter — start with all farewell types.
If someone has died, call 1300 788 881 — any hour.
If you already know which one you're looking at, go straight there. Everything below is for working it out.
Anywhere at all, produced by one senior director.
A venue that was theirs, with the gathering flowing straight on.
One place, one afternoon, and a shorter list to choose from.
Whichever of the three you choose, this is the care underneath it. None of it is an upgrade and none of it belongs to one experience more than another. It is simply how we look after everybody.
The same person from the first call to the final follow-up.
Anywhere in Melbourne, every day of the year, with no after-hours surcharge.
Gently and unhurriedly, by our own team at our Moorabbin location.
A viewing or private farewell before the day, arranged together, at no fee.
Built and tested for you, at no charge, from the photographs you send.
Set up and hosted for family near and far, for as long as you'd like it.
The paperwork, the permissions, and the official death certificate ordered for you.
Made for them, included in every Candour cremation.
Something living to plant, a candle, and a handwritten note from your arranger.
Through Trillion Trees Australia, with a letter to you once it's in the ground.
Every cremation happens close to home, at your chosen park — never driven interstate.
The complete package price is on this page, before you decide anything at all.
Anywhere you can imagine, held by one senior hand.
There is no venue list. A private property, a coastline, a gallery, a home. One senior director takes the whole thing from the first call to the last guest leaving, and what would ordinarily be a decision for you becomes something already anticipated.
Families arrive at Concierge for two quite different reasons: because the day needs to be extraordinary, or because they cannot carry any of the arranging and would rather it were simply handled. It answers both.
The day, in short
Somewhere that was theirs.
A sailing club, a garden, a winery, an estate, a hall they knew — yours for the day, with the gathering afterwards flowing straight on in the same room rather than starting again somewhere else. Our list runs to 43 venues across Melbourne and the Peninsula, and if the place you have in mind isn't on it, we will go and ask.
Everything else opens up with it. The coffin, the flowers, the music, who speaks and for how long. A senior arranger holds every supplier so the day arrives already assembled.
The day, in short
The whole day in one gentle place.
A chapel at one of the six memorial parks we work with, the farewell held there, and refreshments a short walk away in the same grounds. Nobody drives between places, and nobody has to find a car park twice.
There is a shorter list to choose from at every point, and a clear favourite on each list. For many families that is the reason they choose it. Fewer decisions is not less care — it is one less thing to carry in a week when there is already too much.
The day, in short
An unattended cremation isn't one of the three, because there is no service and no day to build around it. Your person is bathed, dressed and cared for by our own team at Moorabbin, and the cremation takes place quietly at a Victorian memorial park. Their ashes come home in a handmade urn.
The care is identical to everything else on this page. Families who ask for no fuss are very often asking for this, and a gathering can still come later if one is wanted.
The same seven questions asked of each, and then what each of them costs. This is the whole of the difference between them.

Families rarely arrive knowing. In practice, one of these is normally the thing that settles it.
A shorter list at every point, with a clear favourite on each. Simple.
The clubhouse, the garden, the room where they were happiest. Celebrated.
One senior director holds the lot, and nothing arrives at your feet. Concierge.
A chapel seats what it seats. A venue you choose can hold far more. Celebrated or Concierge.
Taken at their word, that is usually an unattended cremation — with a gathering later if you want one.
Say so on the first call. We will tell you plainly which of these fits, and never suggest one that doesn't.
Families move between these all the time. A Simple becomes a Celebrated when a venue finally comes to mind. A Celebrated becomes a Concierge when it turns out nobody in the family has the room to carry it. Nothing is locked until suppliers are booked, and we will tell you plainly when that point arrives.
If this page hasn't settled it, the conversation will. That is what the first call is for.
Many people work through this same page quietly, in their own time — choosing the experience they would want and recording it so that family never has to guess, or paying at today's price so it is settled for good.
Day or night, every day of the year. Tell us a little about the person you're remembering, and we will take it from there — with no agenda, and no obligation at all.
