About this venue

Cirrus is the smallest of the three cloud-named chapels at Bunurong Memorial Park in Dandenong South, and the one families choose when closeness matters most. The room is quietly beautiful — vertical timber battens, pale hardwood pews and soft natural light falling from a skylight overhead, with glass doors opening to a still water feature and the park's native gardens. It seats up to 90 guests for a funeral or memorial service and is fully equipped with projection screens, microphones and live streaming, so anyone who can't travel can still be part of the day. A private cremation or graveside burial can follow within the same grounds, and function rooms are a short walk away for refreshments afterwards — an easy, unhurried setting for families across Melbourne's south-east.

Cirrus is the most intimate at 90 seats, Cumulus holds 120, and Stratus 230 — and for the very largest farewells, Cumulus and Stratus can open into one space seating 350. Bunurong is a large park, so it helps to know where you're headed. Cirrus sits within the central chapel building, near the gardens and lake. The easiest place to park is the main car park closest to the Frankston–Dandenong Road entrance — from there it's a short, level walk to the chapel, and our team will be there to greet your guests and show them the way.
