About this venue

Some lives draw a crowd. Stratus is the largest of the three cloud-named chapels at Bunurong Memorial Park in Dandenong South — 230 seats beneath a high timber-battened ceiling, made for the farewells where a whole community turns out. Even at this scale the room stays warm: pale timber pews, soft light through translucent glazing, and twin projection screens so every guest can see the tribute clearly, wherever they're seated. Microphones and live streaming are built in for anyone who can't be there in person, and wide glass doors open onto a covered forecourt and lawn where guests naturally gather before and after the service. For the very largest gatherings, Stratus can be combined with Cumulus next door to welcome up to 350. A private cremation or graveside burial can follow within the same grounds.

Come in through the main gates on Frankston–Dandenong Road and park in the main car park — from there it's a short, level walk to the chapel, and our team will be there to greet your guests and show them the way.
